Airfix 1/72-scale Hawker Typhoon Mark 1B

The Typhoon first entered service in 1943, and originally was intended as a replacement for the venerable Hurricane.  However, its powerful Napier Sabre engine, which allowed it to carry up to 2,000 pounds of bombs, made it an ideal ground-attack fighter.

This kit features two different marking schemes, including RCAF Pilot Officer Frank Johnson's XP-W aircraft.
